Alex Salmond’s SNP have always refused to say how much they think a referendum on Scottish independence would cost, all that changed today. Appearing on STV’s ‘The Politics Show‘ David Kerr, the SNP candidate in the Glasgow North East by-election, said it would be around £9 million:

“You’re looking at about £9million. But you know what? The cost of freedom – priceless.”

Slamming the cost Scottish Tory leader Annabel Goldie said: “The cat is out the bag.”
